“No one.” Jason lied. “I was checking my voice mail.” Jason turned and smiled, hoping Kim wouldn’t catch on. Jason knew it be a few hours before they saw one another for themselves, but he loved playing up the suspense for his own amusement.
Kimberly caught the smug look coming from Jason, but she let it go.“Oh. Well, we’re all checked in, so we can either drop our bags off now or sight see and just bring everything in one fell swoop later.” She said, placing the hotel card keys she had received in her wallet.
“Everything? You mean besides our luggage? You’re really going to buy things? I mean, new things?” Jason asked her in mock surprise.
Kimberly rested her hands on her hips and rolled her eyes. “Yes, I am going to buy some new things. Jase, you know me better than that. I’m in a new town, and this is a particularly stressful time for me. I am going to go shopping. Now, Are you coming or not?” She asked him.Rita got her answer as Rito stormed into the balcony area. “Go? GO? I’ve got deep cuts in my bones! Places I’d never thought I’d get cut! You’d better have a good reason for doing this to me sis!” roared Rito.
Rita cackled loudly. How she had longed to try something like that on her brother. “You should be proud Rito! You were the guinea pig that will lead to the destruction of Tommy!”
“What in the world are you talking about?” asked Rito.
“What I’m saying you moron is that you had the new Tenga Talcon tested on you. Obviously it worked,” said Rita, raising an eyebrow as she glanced over her brother’s body. He hadn’t been exaggerating. More jagged slashes appeared all over than she’d seen in her entire life. The small skulls that Rito carried with him were also missing bits and pieces. “Think of them as battle scars. Besides, wouldn’t you rather see those slashes all over Tommy? Or his precious girlfriend? Once again, Tommy blinked....despite seeing the different armors before, he'd expected these ones to be like the ones he remembered, but only the Pink and White Rangers looked as he expected. Well....the Green Ranger armor wasn't much different, except that is being worn by a girl. It still has the golden Dragon Shield, but it now covered what were unmistakably feminine contours. The Dragon Dagger hung at her hip, but a mass of golden-blonde hair now poured from a cresent-shaped slot in the back of her helmet, and the green parts of the armor had etchings resembling scales.
The Black Ranger still had the familiar Mastadon-shaped helmet, but this armor, too, was now worn by a female. Her torso was protected by polished black armor, but her arms and legs were wrapped in strips of black fabric, inlaid with silver spikes and studs, like a ninja or assassin. A pair of throwing stars adorned one arm, and her right gauntlet bore a strange, clawlike device. Across her back was a short black katana, the kind used by ninjas...well, in all the movies he'd seen, anyway..., it's sheath fastened to her back by a thick, spiked bandolier. Dyed-blue hair spilled from the back of her helmet.
