Kimberly managed a tight smile.“Ostensibly? Careful Jase, that’s a Billy word. We wouldn’t people to think you actually have a brain beneath that meat head exterior.” She finally laughed.
“Hey, can I help it if I’ve got brains and brawn?” Jason laughed too, glad that he had finally managed to crack the wall Kimberly had been keeping up for the last few months.
“Thank you for organizing this, Jase, seriously. I don’t think it would have happened if you hadn’t been so damn persistent.” She said weakly as she closed the trunk to the vehicle.
He looked over at Kimberly, her head bowed, looking at the ground. He could hear her stifling her tears.
“Hey, Kim. Don’t cry.” He said as he approached her and wrapped her in his arms. She continued to cry but allowed herself to rest her head against his chest.shuddered Kimberly.
“You learn to like it. If you and Sarah had a little, I’m sure you two would be more like me.”
“Bite me, Lacie,” mumbled Sarah. “If I wanted to be perky, I’d do it without coffee.”
“I’m just saying that’d it help. Possibly give you a new attitude change.”
“I like my attitude just fine thank you very much,” retorted Sarah.
Kimberly ignored the exchange between the two. It had become a daily morning ritual between the two roommates and the dialogue didn’t change too much each morning. The only difference was how grumpy or not grumpy Sarah was. Lacie always seemed to be bouncy. Kim was neutral to it all; she didn’t let Lacie’s mood nor attempts to have her try coffee bother her. Kimberly glanced up at the clock. 6:40 stared back at her. “Come on guys. We’re going to be late if we don’t get a move on!” "Is blue cheese made of mold?" Jareth asked.
Tommy blinked. "THIS is what you're arguing about?"
"Yep," Deacon replied. "So? What's your verdict?"
"I....have no idea. Why not ask Zord-1?"
"Good idea. Zord-1?"
The speaker mounted in the cieling clicked on. "While blue cheese is not made of mold, certain kinds of mold are used in the process that creates blue cheese."
"I win," Deacon said.
"Damn."
"So, have you met any of the other Rangers, Tommy?" Deacon asked.
"No, just you two."
"That'll change. Red Ranger is on the day shift."
