Kimberly cooed, placing a kiss on his cheek. “That’s a good sign. You look nice too.”
“Thanks.” Jason said meekly, looking down at his red dress shirt and black slacks.
“Seriously Kim, you look amazing. Tommy’s not going to even remember the letter.” He smiled down at her, guiding her arm through his as they left their hotel room.
“Somehow I doubt that. But I’m hoping to at least distract him for a while.” She said airily. Jason helped her into the car and shut her door. He slipped the slender gift bag off his wrist and placed it behind the driver’s seat before settling in.When the putty appeared again, it was inside one of the girls’ showers. It peeked from behind the pink curtain to make sure the coast was clear before sliding into the open. It peeked inside each locker until it found Kimberly’s belongings and saw the water bottle as well. All the other lockers had been empty. The putty pulled the bottle from the shelf and twisted off the cap. It then pulled out the potion bottle and opened it, pouring the contents into the water bottle. The water sizzled and turned an olive green before returning to a clear liquid. The putty replaced the cap and returned the bottle to the locker, slamming the door. Just as quickly as he appeared, he disappeared in a purple light. "It's not good or evil, it just points to the artifact he was looking for?" Deacon guessed.
Jareth nodded. "And I'd be willing to bet that the thing it points to isn't good or evil either...not in and of itself, anyway. Just in how it's used."
Myk considered. "If it's good, we should claim it. If it's evil, we should take it, try to destroy it, at least keep it out of evil hands."
"And if it's nuetral, then we should...umm...keep it from those who would misuse it's power?" Jareth asked.
