“Hey handsome.” She responded softly. They both remained silent, blushing at each other for a few moments.
Jason watched his two best friends through the window. He smiled to himself. “Maybe tonight won’t be so bad.” He said.
Tommy waved his hand in front of Kimberly, motioning for her to go ahead of him.
“After you.” He said, as she nodded slightly and moved towards the door. Tommy’s eyes got cloudy for a brief moment as he watched her enter his house. He shook of the mist and followed her inside.“Promise me this mom. I’m serious,” whispered Kimberly.
Her mother looked at her daughter’s face, the tears still rolling down. “Kimberly, I promise. I promise that I won’t tell any of your friends or Tommy.”
A look of relief spread over Kimberly’s face. “Thanks mom.”
“Kimberly, you must know I’m not happy about this, but I’m willing to do it for you on the condition that you will eventually tell them.”
“I will mom.”
“I’m going to go call your father and get settled in the city, all right? I’ll be gone no longer than three hours.” Her mother kissed the top of her head. “You rest some, all right?” Kimberly nodded and her mother softly closed the door behind her. Outside the door, her mother sighed deeply. This was going to take a lot of effort and patience.Deacon glanced over at Jareth. "No? What were you expecting?"
"Maybe a pyramid? I dunno. Certainly not a big stone igloo."
For the structure they stood before was, in fact, a big stone igloo.
"There must be a way in," Myk said. "Deacon, you circle it to the right, Jareth, you go left. See if there's an entrance."
"What about you?" Deacon asked.
"I'll.....supervise," Myk replied.
Jareth and Deacon exchanged a slightly exhasperated glance, then rolled their eyes and started off in their seperate directions.
Myk tapped the side of his helmet, opening a communications channel to the Oasis. "Zord-1? I need a Turbo Navigator."
Moments later, a firey missile shot through the air, plummeting to the ground with a sand-muffled THUD a few thousand yards away.
Grumbling, Myk set off to retrieve it.
