As they ascended the stairs, Kimberly could feel herself twitching ever so slightly. Why were they exploring the upstairs first?
“I thought we’d start upstairs and make our way down, that way we’ll end up in the kitchen for dinner.” Tommy whispered to her, as if reading her mind. He smiled down at her, and released her arm. He opened the first door on the upper level, located on the adjacent right of the landing.
“Here we have a bathroom.” Tommy laughed. It wasn’t an exciting first room, but he thought showing Kim a bathroom might break the ice. It worked. Kimberly lightly giggled. “I see that, Tommy.” She chirped. Tommy motioned her to keep following. The next room was his study, just left of the bathroom. As he opened it, Kim gasped slightly. It was practically a shrine.“Yeah, right. The real Ninja Rangers and I are going to actually go do something. You know, like save the city.” Tommy disappeared in a white light.
Kimberly placed her head in her hands. “No… this can’t be happening….” She cried.
A loud cackle came from behind her. “What’s the matter Pinky? Lover boy abandon you?”
“R…Rita Repulsa…” muttered Kimberly as she recognized the voice.
“Of course it’s me,” answered Rita as she walked around the wheelchair. She tilted her head, acting as though she was examining Kimberly. She lifted Kimberly’s chin so that Kimberly had no choice but to look at her enemy. "Umm...yes. But it's buried. A few thousand yards of sand."
"Umm...guys?" Jareth called, having wandered a fair way off.
"I guess we'll have to dig."
"It'd be easier if we had some tools..."
"Guys?"
"You think our weapons would work?"
"Yours might, it's a sword. Mine's no good, though."
"You're very good at getting out of doing things, you know that?"
