He smiled, trading her the old photo for a new one. She looked at it with a puzzled expression before realization hit her. “Oh my . . . gosh! These are the Dino Thunder Rangers! Jason told me all about them!” She said with glee. Although she herself had been a power ranger, there was something really neat about seeing the team she had only previously heard about.

“Yeah, they were a really cool group of kids. Different, but cool. They reminded me of our team a lot.” Tommy mused, thinking about all how Conner reminded him of Jason, and Ethan was a combination of Billy and Zack, and how Kira reminded him so much of Kim, but had a lot of Trini in her as well. And Trent, Trent reminded him of himself. It was definitely a cool group of kids.

“Wow. They all look so young. Did we look that young when we were rangers?” Kimberly asked.

“I think we may have looked younger, actually.” Tommy said with a slight chuckle. Kimberly handed the photo back to Tommy, who replaced it on the shelf.Kimberly just looked at him, tears falling down her face. She couldn’t think that this was her Tommy. It just couldn’t be. Then again…. Kimberly didn’t know what to think. Tommy was just as active as she was…with her unable to do anything she used to, why would Tommy want her?

“Someone’s thinking a little hard,” commented Rita.

“I don’t need your comments!” Kimberly yelled.

Tommy petted her head. “You could make a good pet,” he mused. “You’re worthless for anything else. No more sparring, no more gymnastics, and no more chances at ever being a Ranger again!”

“See? Tommy doesn’t want you. Just like I wouldn’t want you either. No one wants to deal with you anymore. Not after what you did to yourself. You brought all of this on yourself. Staying late to practice, even though you knew your body was tired. Yet, you pushed yourself beyond your limit. Tsk, tsk. Did you want to be this way? Hmm? You must have if you’re sitting here like this.”        "I know Zordon."

         "The Zordon of this dimension?"

         "No, Red Ranger, he doesn't exist in this dimension, or any other. He's what we like to call a Gatehopper: A being that has no dimension of his own, or has forgotten it if he had, and is capable of transversing dimensions at will. I met him once, when he visited this realm some 300,000 Terran years ago."

         "300,000 years?"

         "317,567 years, 10 months, 3 weeks, 2 days, 14 hours, 12 minutes and 37 seconds, actually, but part of my regular human emulation is not to sound too technical in casual conversation."
