Jason had set his alarm to go off at some point during the evening. That way he would have a reason to leave them alone. He was hopeful that when Tommy had shown Kimberly around they would have talked it all out and then he could have stayed for the whole meal. But when they returned from the tour, Jason knew they hadn’t hashed anything out.
“Oh! I have to take this call, sorry guys.” Jason lied. He excused himself and started heading for the door. “I’ll just be outside.” He said, grabbing his glass of wine and shutting the door behind him.In walked Dr. Matthews with one of the nurses. The nurse was carrying a breakfast tray. She set it on the bedside stand and moved it over toward Kimberly. The nurse pressed a button to raise the upper half of the bed to allow Kimberly to eat breakfast more easily. “Good morning, Kimberly. I take it you slept well?”
Kimberly simply nodded. “I slept okay.”"I really doubt it," Kira replied. "I think we should just head on home."
"I agree," Deacon said. "Let's do what the nice inscription says and NOT wake up the ancient evil, kay?"
"The Blade of Light....," Myk said, sounding mystified.
"What?" Jareth asked.
"Just think...this place...Scepter's Throne? It's been here for ages. If that sword is powerful enough to hold back that evil for this long...imagine what it could do if it were to be used agaist the evil that's out there today? Imagine what it could do...in the hands of a Power Ranger."
"I don't see what difference it makes," Jareth said. "Unless you can find a way to get in."
"I know how to get in," Kira said. "It's written in the inscriptions. But I really wish you'd--"
“That’s good to hear. I’ve had one of the nurses bring you some breakfast. Now that you’re awake, you need to get some sustenance into your body.” Kimberly glanced down at the food she had been given. A bowl of cereal, a glass of milk, a glass of orange juice, and an applesauce cup lined her tray. Ick she thought I really hate hospital food. It never tastes as good as it looks.
Kimberly and Tommy stared at each other for a moment. Tommy finally spoke.
“So, where were we?” he asked softly. Kimberly inhaled a deep breath and faced the inevitable.
