“How you handled this was not, I repeat, was not, by any stretch of the imagination, decent. You sent a fucking letter to the YOUTH CENTER! Man, Kim! Adam read half the letter before I even realized what it actually said!” Tommy chugged the rest of his wine. He gripped the stem tightly. He felt like crushing the delicate glass with his bare hand. The phone rang three times and Kimberly didn’t think anyone would pick up. After all, it was ten and Trini could be in class for all she knew. Halfway through the fourth ring, the other phone was picked up. “Hello? Trini speaking.”

“Trini!” cried Kimberly.

“Oh hey Kim. This is an unexpected surprise. Aren’t you supposed to be training at the gym right now? Pan Globals are just a few weeks away.”        "Good news, Rangers," Zord-1 intoned. "The damage to Pterodactyl is not as severe as my initial scans suggested. It can be fully operational again in as little as four hours."

Mara forced a smile. "Good," she said.

"You are worried about Jareth." Zord-1 said. it was a statement, not a question.

Mara nodded. "If anything were to happen to him...I....well, I'd have to be the one to tell Mom. She'd be thrilled, you know?"

Zord-1 chuckled, a surprising sound coming from a machine. "I have a feeling Jareth will be fine. If you hadn't noticed, it's almost as though catastrophe deliberately avoids him."

Mara nodded. "Yep. He does that. Chaos all around him, usually caused by him, but none of it ever touches him. I've never been able to figure it out."

Tommy glanced back up at the snowy screen. "Let's hope his lucks holds."

“Well… yes…” answered Kimberly softly, sadness coating her voice.

“Kim you sound upset. Did something happen between you and Tommy?”

Not yet…thought Kimberly. “Trini, my life has changed forever,” answered Kimberly, beginning to sob.

“Calm down… tell me what happened,” soothed Trini.

Kimberly remained silent. She bowed her head and started to cry softly. That had been a bad move. She didn’t know that anyone else had read the letter. She knew that everyone else knew about it, but she hadn’t realized other people had actually been present when Tommy had received it. She felt like a horrible person. But why? She had done the honorable thing by telling Tommy she had met someone else. Not cheating on him or carelessly avoiding his calls. She had addressed the issue immediately. So why did she feel like she was being punished?
