Said the ancient Mrs. Franklin. Tommy took a deep breath and turn around to face her. He gave her a weak smile before she began again. “Where are you headed in such a rush?” The woman asked him, still standing by her door. He knew it was wrong to avoid Mrs. Franklin. Ultimately, she was harmless. But that didn’t stop her from leering at Tommy every time he was in her presence. She had latched onto him like a leech since his first day and she never wanted to let go.“Cake!” called Mrs. Mullins. Kimberly sighed with relief. She was afraid some sort of fight would break out. “All right Jayden here you go,” she said, handing him the cake pan. “One, two, three. Happy Birthday to you….” She began singing. The rest of the group joined in.

As she sang with the group, Kimberly watched Jayden’s smiling face glancing around the room. Kimberly looked toward the door. She saw the familiar figure of Dr. Matthews, standing in the doorway. He winked at her. The song finished and Jayden blew out all of his candles. Jayden closed his eyes tightly and made his secret wish. When his mother cut the cake, he gave the first piece to Kimberly instead of taking it for himself.  "Easily," Psycho White replied, examining the edge of his scimitar almost daintily. "So, now what?"

"We still have a few Rangers left to flush out, don't we?" Psycho Red said in his twisted, painful voice. "Now, how do you suggest we go about that?"

"Oh! Oh! I vote for mass destruction!" Psycho Green replied, bouncing on the balls of her feet.

"I second the motion," Psycho Red replied. "All in favor?"

"AYE!" all the Psycho Rangers shouted in unison. Still acting as one, they pulled the short swords from their sides and raised them to the sky. "Psycho Zords, descend!"

A series of haunting, dischordant crystal notes filled the air, and from out of nowhere, giant mechanical beasts seemed to appear, racing towards the Psychos.

A massive green gorrila knuckle-walked across the land, the earth shaking with every step of it's massive feet. Psycho Green shot across the sky, materializing in it's cockpit.

When Kimberly returned to her room later that evening, she realized that being with Jayden all day had kept any bad thoughts at bay. He seemed so happy, so… so… normal. Thought Kimberly. Then again, he hadn’t grown up like she had and he’d never experienced the things she’d been through. He was still too young.

Kimberly found the nurse waiting for her; she had been sent to help Kimberly bathe. It creeped Kimberly out, but she had no choice in the matter. As she finally was lifted into bed that evening, she held the little red tiger close and drifted into sleep. Peaceful it was not, however.

“Umm, actually, I’m meeting someone.” Tommy stuttered. He was clearly uncomfortable, feeling Mrs. Franklin’s eyes on him, he actually sounded flustered.

“Oh, that’s right. Senior faculty shadowing. How noble of you.” Mrs. Franklin swooned. Tommy gave her an uneasy laugh. “Well, it is required and all, so I don’t know about ‘noble’ but, I’d hate to keep her waiting, so I’m just going to be–” He began to say, backing up from the hall. Mrs. Franklin cut him off, her face sinking at his words.
