“Well, I wish I could Miss Hart, but the assignments are unfortunately set in stone. We paired new teachers up with senior faculty that had corresponding schedules. You and Dr. Oliver were a perfect match.” Ms. Randall said.
Ha! Kimberly thought to herself. The irony was so thick you could cut it with a chainsaw.Mrs. Mullins pushed Kimberly into the hallway and closed Jayden’s door. Mrs. Mullins moved in front of Kimberly so that she could talk to her face-to-face. “Kimberly, how are you adjusting?” she asked softly.
“Okay… I guess…. It’s tough….” Replied Kimberly in short sentences. She didn’t look directly at Mrs. Mullins for fear of crying. "I don't know, and I don't know how to find out. Tommy said something about a Spirit Quest, but We don't have anyone to act as our all-powerful spiritual Guru, so that's out. Anyway, that's what the Psychos stole....the Ranger's animals guides. Without them, they're like zombies. Virtually no will to do anything. They'd be useless in battle."
Without warning, mostly because they WERE the warning, the alarms blared to life throughout the circular bridge.
"Uh-Oh. Action down below," Lolli said. "Zord-1, what do we got?"
"Two more Psycho Rangers," the computer replied, pulling up a visual on the large screen that covered the front of the room. "The green and white ones, conveniently enough."
“I remember back when Jayden first fell from his crib. I felt terrible as a mother, like it was somehow my fault. It took a very long time before my husband was able to help convince me that it wasn’t. Jayden was just an active toddler at a very young age who tried to climb out of his crib, even though the security bars were up and latched. That first year was full of changes. I had to get used to the fact that I would never see my son walk or play sports. He grew up a happy little boy and he gives me the strength to get through each day. He tends to care more about others than himself, as you have seen. I feel he’s God’s special gift to me and to the ones around him that he touches with his love.”
Well, Tommy couldn’t say she hadn’t tried. He gave her a feeble yet grateful look and wiped his forehead. He slowly made his way down the aisle to the two women. “Uh, Ms. Randall, I’ll be fine. I’d be very happy to show Miss . . . Hart, was it?” He said, smiling crookedly. He offered Kimberly his hand. If he couldn’t get out of it, he was going to have fun.
She stifled a small laugh and bit her lower lip. He was such a cheeky bastard! She played along, “Yes. Hart. Miss Hart. Miss Kimberly Hart. Like the organ, but without an ‘e’. “ She said innocently.
